The two batters have been on rival teams in the recent Ashes contests.

Australian opener Travis Head disclosed that he reached out to English fellow opener Ben Duckett following a video surfaced appearing to show the player in a drunken state before the MCG Test.

Reports indicated that players were consuming significant amounts of alcohol during a time off in the coastal resort of Noosa in the gap between the second and the third Tests.

One unverified video sparked greater attention on the team and on Duckett specifically.

"I have a good relationship with Ducky well contacted him to see if he was alright," commented Head.

"Everyone is still human. What you do in your private life is your concern.

"I know we live a very public life and some people are more high profile than others.

"At the end of the day, it is a bit stiff but I don't believe there is any major concern."

Context of the Situation

The team's time in Noosa followed they had gone 2-0 down in the Ashes series after losses in Perth and Brisbane.

Several media outlets reported that some players were consuming alcohol for a large part of their time on the coastal break, as well as on two previous days in Brisbane.

Though they produced an better performance in the next Test, they lost in Adelaide to surrender the series to Australia.

The Australian's Viewpoint

Commenting after the visiting team's win in the Melbourne Test, Head added: "I felt envious.

"Everyone has made a bigger deal than was necessary.

"Our teams have done the same thing on previous tours. I don't see an problem with it."
