Netflix Selects Perfect Actor for Bon Clay in One Piece Third Season

Baroque Works is geared up to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until the third season, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.

Netflix announced this week that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay has the ability to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a interpretation of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the initial comic and animated series.

This performer will work alongside multiple recently announced actors tasked with bringing the organization to reality, such as chief Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the cast as the monarch of the fictional land.

Although Bon Clay is a key figure of Baroque Works, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Given the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this marks a significant shift in the placement of their first appearance, one that could suggest more adjustments to the plot development.

Their mix of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the character. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

The platform’s adapted One Piece program is due to premiere for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
