The British player made it to the third stage in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slams this year.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain will not compete in the last two tournaments in 2025 due to a medical condition she has been battling in recent days.

Raducanu, aged 22 was due to play in events in Asia but chose to travel back to recover before starting her preparations for 2026.

Her upcoming training are set to feature her coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together again next season.

She had her blood pressure taken in her opening round versus Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and stopped playing when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

She needed once more medical attention at this week's Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the first round.

Her movement was with clear difficulty in the third set versus Zhu because of back discomfort that has been a concern at times this year.

Such performances signaled a promising season, in which the player advanced into the world's top 30 after more than three years since her previous ranking, ended with three successive defeats.

The athlete was close to victory with three match points before losing to American player Jessica Pegula in round three in the Beijing tournament last month.

The player achieved 28 victories during 2025 and made it to the semi-final round in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami Open in March.

The British number one made the last eight of the WTA 1000 event, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament prior to a loss in a three-set match to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She worked with Mark Petchey as coach from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig taking over for the US Open.

The original arrangement with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was for the remainder of the year but they will keep working together, with a training session scheduled for the end of the year.

She mentioned that the trial session alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.

The player was close to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their first tournament together in Cincinnati in August.

Roig joined her in New York, where she reached the third round before being beaten by Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
