The Holiday Bikini – The Method
We present a simplified interpretation of a cocktail found on our latest drinks list. It's a party-sized prepared mix that's bursting full of tastes associated with festive period, rendering it perfect for your celebration. Any leftover syrup you can use for breakfast cocktails, desserts, or to make more rounds of this cocktail.
The Bikini Cocktail
Makes enough for 10 guests
To make the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
To make the Drink (makes 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
Making the Cordial: Place every ingredients into a saucepan, heat until it reaches a simmer, stirring so the sugar melts. Then, take off the burner and let it to cool fully. Decant to a sterilised bottle, close it keeping it in the refrigerator, it can be stored for up to a month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Mix every liquid ingredients into one big jug, leave to sit for an hour, then filter it , ideally through a fine cloth, making it fully clarified.
To serve: Add 85ml of the batch mix into a mixing glass containing ice, gently stirring carefully for one minute to cool it down. Filter to a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, top with the cranberries and complete it using a quick spritz of the essential oil over the drink.
