Trio In Contention for Young Athlete of the Year Award

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The three finalists have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the last year.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.
The three contenders were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The champion will be revealed live on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
Littler's Profile

Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Perrin's Profile

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin finished second in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
